As Team Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring and coordinating the Account Receivable process so that is runs timely and correctly according to the set requirements. You report to the Credit Control Manager. 

What are you going to do?

Your daily activities are providing support in timely and complete processing bank statements within our financial system and a timely entry of payments into the correct accounts. You also maintain and clean up the accounts receivable subledger.

In case of any questions of colleagues about (historical) bookings and payments, you are the go-to person and you are responsible for daily processing, update and filing receivables and bank statements in our financial system and other activities to this process.

Besides these operational activities, you will be in charge of supervising the 7-person Accounts Receivables team. This also includes motivating and improving the team members’ performance in order to meet defined goals. These tasks include:

• Planning and monitoring of daily activities with your team.

• Ensure with your team that all received payments are allocated correct and in a timely matter.

• Manage (open) payments in coordination with customers and/ or credit control.

• Act as the primary liaison for Accounting and Credit Control on Accounts Receivable matters.

• Frequent interventions in the daily activities and operations in a hands-on way.

• Help to drive continuous process improvements to achieve effectiveness and efficiency.

• Be involved with the implementation of AR matching software (to be selected).

• Any other activities linked to AR reporting, e.g. annual audit queries, internal controls. The split between operational and supervisory tasks is about 50/50.

Who are you?

Do you have 5 years relevant working experience as Account Receivable Employee or in a more generalist role at a Finance Department with experience in processing banks? You are a team player, supportive to your colleagues, have an analytical and critical eye for detail and eager to learn? Then you are already on the right track. Do you also have:
HBO level or you have a comparable working and thinking level;

• Availability for 32 to 40 hours per week;
• Excellent listening, communication and motivational skills;
• Good understanding of the Dutch and English language verbally and written;
• Good knowledge of MS Office;
• Customer supportive, stress resistance and solution oriented;
• Willing to learn and to follow training/ courses.
